Recent developments in our nation’s economic crisis have caused consumer concern especially in the financial industry. In reaction to this, the FDIC stepped up to the plate to bring back consumer confidence in the financial realm by increasing insurance on savings to at least $250,000.00. The NCUA was not far behind to recognize this as a great call to action by also increasing member savings insurance from $100,000 to at least $250,000.
The credit union industry has seen the troubles that the banks are having; and consequently, this provides credit unions a prime opportunity to tout its safety and security. For that reason, the FCUL Image Campaign Task Force developed the Grassroots Marketing Toolkit for Florida credit unions. It is now available for use to Florida Credit Union League members. Created entirely by members of the FCUL Image Campaign Task Force, the toolkit provides a strong message for credit unions to send to their members and the general public. All toolkit materials are available electronically—at no cost—to fill an immediate need to assist Florida cedit unions in presenting a unified front.
